As a service to University of Michigan personnel, the Office of Continuing Medical Education and Lifelong Learning (OCME&LL) documents attendance at regularly scheduled U-M Medical School CME activities that have been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit.™
We summarize attendance across UMMS regularly scheduled series only for the following participants of internal UM activities:
- Allied health professionals who use AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ toward relicensure
- Other attendees by departmental request only
We do not summarize attendance across UMMS regularly scheduled series for the following participants of internal UM activities:
- Non-UM personnel
- House Officers I, II, III (State licensing provides required credit for training program instead)
- Attendees who do not require AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™
If you are new to the University, or otherwise need to be added to our database, please fill out the CME Personal Information Form (PDF)
CME Attendance Reports can now be accessed via eCAT (electronic CME Attendance Tool). This online system displays all attendance recorded January 1, 2009 through the present. These reports can be used as documentation of CME credit earned for Michigan relicensure (and licensure for other states), as well as the AMA Physician's Recognition Award and other activities requiring documentation of CME participation. If you need records prior to 2009, please contact OCME&LL.
Please note: eCAT summarizes only credit earned at internal, on-site programs with credit designated by UMMS. Attendance certificates received at off-site or non-UMMS meetings should be maintained by the attendee in his or her own personal records. Copies should not be submitted to OCME&LL. When reporting your credits to a regulatory or licensing body, be sure to tally and report credit earned from UMMS and other providers. If you are missing documentation of participation, contact the accredited provider.
